Real phenomenon on his arrival on the market in 2010, the brilliant 3 DS has worn since the label and the DS brand, its big sisters DS 4 and 5 are far from knowing the same success. But in six years, the modern city has had time to run out of steam, with the stainless kits Fiat 500 and very premium Audi A1 Mini III. The cabin also hosts a lot of new combinations. At the top of the range, the Racing gives way to a performance version that adopts changes her cousin the Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport: the 1.6 THP in its last evolution (208 hp, 300 Nm), wider track, a lowered ride height, a revised gear ratios, an enhanced braking and especially a Torsen differential that should greatly facilitate the work of the front axle. What transfigures the behavior of the most powerful DS 3, which until now lacked homogeneity. The DS Performance 3 also expands the color chart of Racing, including a flattering combination "Black Special" associating black bodywork and fittings to a carbon roof, mirror caps and front panel board "Gold Brilliant." The DS 3 vintage 2016 will be presented next March 1 at the Geneva show and will arrive in the concession process, at prices yet unknown. Then wait no more than a real novelty, the last European launch of the brand now going back to 2011 with that of the DS 5.
