The prices of the new BMW X1 have been published so far and, as often with premium brands; they are relatively salty.

The second generation BMW X1 will be available in four different finishes: Lounge, Sport, Sport and M Xline. The thing is rare enough to be stressed, but the, first of all, is already well endowed. Dual air controls, rain sensor and automatic illumination of headlights, the multifunction touch screen that can be set including Bluetooth MP3 CD radio, parking sensors or electric parking brake. In the premium segment, it is not used to such generosity from the entry level.

In fact, it only lacks the style to this finish Lounge. For this, we must opt ​​for the other three finishes. All are supported by finishing Lounge, but each brings a presentation of their own. Thus, Xline wants both adventurer and stylish with its black bottom of its abundant cash or Chrome. Sport wants to be ... sport with body color bumpers, its more aggressive wheels and dark interior with red or gray stitching. Finally, the M Sport is sportier, with particular aerodynamic kit siglé "M", the performance department of the Bavarian brand. By opting for these specific environments, prices rise fairly consistently but has so much more customized vehicles.

While the X1 raising prices consistently with this new generation (+ € 1950 for example for the basic version of the same power, but with a richer equipment) but the benefits appear to be moving in the right direction and competitors are anyway not exactly cheap either. The Mercedes GLA is a bit more competitive regarding price / equipment. At € 30,850 in its version 200 Essence Intuition, it is € 1,100 cheaper than its equivalent at BMW (the sDrive 18i) yet less powerful (136 hp against 156 hp BMW for Mercedes) and almost as well equipped. Lacks only the parking sensors and dual-zone air conditioning (his is manual). The Audi Q3 posted at € 31,570, year, however, does not seem to be the most interesting of the lot. Its price and its equipment are certainly close enough, but the X1 can legitimately assert its new face to an older design Q3.
