Retromobile 2016: ask for the program!

Every year in the heart of winter, Retromobile is the appointment of former lovers and, increasingly, the opportunity for manufacturers to showcase their heritage. This year the fair will take place from Wednesday 3 to Sunday, February 7, in the pavilions 1 and 2.2 of the Exhibition Centre Porte de Versailles.

The 2016 edition will include the opportunity to admire three monsters records from the very beginning of the century, the English arrived Museum Beaulieu: a Napier 1903, a Darracq V8 1906 Fiat 1911 S 76, nicknamed " Beast of Turin "because of its terrifying four-cylinder 28.4-liter (300 hp).

Retromobile will also honor this year of dashing forties, in partnership with the Youngtimers magazine. Will be exposed and an Alfa Romeo Sud Sprint, an Alpine A310 V6, a BMW 6 Series E24, a Citroën CX Break, a Mercedes W123, a Renault 14 and a Volkswagen Golf GTI all born in 1976. Six hundred year old cars, which will still run also in the game thanks to the club Teuf-Teuf.

An exhibition will be devoted to vehicles rhomboids, strange objects with four wheels in diamond pattern and not a rectangle. Among them we find the particular concept Pininfarina X 1960 or two creations of the brilliant Philippe Charbonneaux. The latter will also be honored at this year through the exhibition of various works of this designer that affected both automotive as trucks, buses or everyday objects.
Retromobile 2016:

Another stand will host the very feminine collection of Julia Baldanza, lady-driver who has competed and led many rarities. Among these vehicles, designed for a Bugatti Lydia, the sister of Ettore, a single-seater McLaren M3A 1965 piloted successfully hillclimb by Columbia Patsy Burt, or a sublime Frazer-Nash Le Mans Coupe 1955 that belonged her compatriot Maurice Kitty, owner of Castle Combe circuit. In a completely different note, the Museum of Saumur Armoured Rétromobile to lend a Soviet T34 tank a US M24 Chaffee, two veterans of the Second World War.

Finally, who says says Retromobile sale in prestigious auction. This year will go under the hammer including a beautiful Ferrari 250 GT SWB navy from 1963, estimated between 9 and 12 million euros, or M335 racing tray S Spider Scaglietti 1957 ex Pierre Bardinon, highlight of this sale with a estimate amount to 32 million euros. Both jewelry and many others can of course be admired on the stand Artcurial.
