BMW xDrive M760Li: almost M7
Although it is still not called M7, the new high version of the 7 Series limousine has never been more powerful and sporty. The M760Li xDrive also belongs to the family M Performance, apparently announcing sportiness up from the old 760i. First, the V12 engine sees its rise 6 liters to 6.6 liters (6592 cm3 exactly, the same engine that Rolls-Royce Ghost and Wraith), while the power and torque now reach 600 hp and 800 Nm (544 hp and 750 Nm earlier). Necessarily associated with xDrive and automatic transmission Steptronic sport eight reports, the M760Li enjoys typed Sports settings including gear shifts.
The performances are a clear step forward, with a 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 s shot now, against 4.6 s on the old 760i which did not benefit from the full transmission. However, the Alpina B7 freshly made still surpasses, with only 3.7 s in the same period. It is true that the latter retains the short wheelbase and has a power equivalent of a smaller and lighter engine (V8 4.4 twin turbo 608 hp). For the BMW M760Li, the combined fuel consumption is announced to 12.6 l / 100 km for CO2 emissions of 294 g / km.
The Active Comfort Drive system, comprising active anti-roll minimizing body movements associated with the management Active
Drive four-wheel, allows the 7 Series BMW to offer as "the best dynamic performance in its class". Of course, a good limo, this M760Li still has a technological arsenal and security among the provided segment, including the autopilot bottling or gesture control system. Finally, M760Li V12 Exclusive xDrive variant will also be available at no extra charge, putting a little more emphasis on luxury and exclusivity, from the standard Sports model more focused. Meet at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1 to discover this super seven series in detail.
