On the next edition of the Tokyo show 2013, Nissan is going introduce a new concept Blade Glider, which was inspired by Deltawing and ZEOD RC race cars.
From last year, Nissan
uses the competition in trying out new solutions in terms of sustainable
mobility. After the Deltawing, who participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans 2012
thanks to Garage 56, the Japanese firm showed on the margins of the 2013 of the
top race edition ZEOD RC. It was first powered by a small 300 HP petrol engine,
the second would appeal to hybridization and would be able to complete a lap of
the circuit of 24 hours without rejecting less per gram of CO2.
The Nissan’s Blade Glider
concept which is presented to us today is very much inspired by these two
competition vehicles and foreshadows a possible version of road. Picking up the
triangular shape inspired by aviation, this innovative concept displays a front
track of only 1 m, while providing three places in its cockpit. The latter is
open like a roadster, with a low and very sloped windshield and doors in
Elytron.
The advantage of this
architecture is very narrow with a manifested sharp reduction in drag, when downforce it is essentially created by the flat bottom
carbon fiber. If the concept as it is presented so far does not seem really defined
propulsion mode, Nissan evokes technology of motor-wheels for a possible
declination in series.
